11/14/13

Twenty One
He knew he was being played with.  The beautiful girl was lit up like an energetic Christmas tree.  He knew she wasn’t the one that he was looking for he had checked her out thoroughly.  Mostly because she was beautiful and he was taking advantage of his time on campus to check out the pretty girls.  It was a perk, right?  He had followed her around a bit, checking into her energies at various times, attempting to see if she could be the one he was looking for.  It would make traveling with her back to headquarters enjoyable.
He had not found anything.  Not a hint of power inside of her.  And now here she was, lit up before him.  His gaze shifted around the room.  Who could be playing with him?  Before he look could far a man walked into the room.  He strode up to the beautiful girl and grabbed her around the waist.  He pulled her, giggling, into his arms and kissed her passionately.   She lit up even brighter.
Crap, thought John.  Another pair of lovers lighting up the room.  What was it with this place and lovers?  He couldn’t go anywhere without them taking the spotlight.
He would follow her for a bit regardless.  He had to make sure that she wasn’t the one that he was looking for and her boyfriend was what brought out her powers.  It was not likely, but it was possible that she was the one he was looking for.  Maybe if he followed her long enough he would be able to see who was using her.
John sighed.  It would be a nice day, following the blonde.  But not very fulfilling.  He felt lonely these days, longed for a place to settle down as he had never done before.  He glanced over at the couple from the day before.  They were tentatively eating together, talking about something.  He watched as the girl put her hand on the boy’s leg and then took it off again as though the contact stung her.  She obviously wanted to be near the boy but wasn’t sure how to interact with him.
John waited until the blonde left and then stood and walked over to where she had been standing.  He flowed his energies into the ground, as he had the night before, to see if he could trace where the power had come from.  He followed the energies deep into the ground and laughed when they just disappeared.  Whomever was toying with him was good.  They left no trace of who they were behind.
He sighed and walked out to follow the blonde.

Twenty Two
Larissa had been watching the tracker.  She watched him as he watched the blonde.  She and Keith kept their eyes on each other as well, keeping up the illusion that was fast becoming more than an illusion.  Mentally she shook her head, not the time to think about that.
The tracker walked to where the blonde had been standing.  Larissa watched as he sunk his energy into the ground.  Quickly realizing what he was doing, he was searching for her, she pulled all of her energy into herself.  She watched closely to see how he did what he did.
The tracker’s shoulders slumped and he stomped out of the dining hall.
“Did you see that?” Larissa asked Keith.
“See what?”
“Did you see how he sunk his energy into the ground?  He followed the girl’s energy into the ground.”
“He did?”
“Yes.  He was searching for the origin.  I know it.  He knows that he’s being toyed with.”
“Wait a minute.  He used energy to try to find you?”
“Yes.  I saw him.”
“And he wasn’t able to?”
“No.  I pulled back any trace of my own energies when I saw what he was doing.”
“You did?”
“Yes.  I saw that he was searching for the origin and I pulled myself out of the ground.  Away from the energies that the girl used once I showed her energy how to find it.”
“Larissa, that’s amazing.  I don’t know anyone who is able to do that.”
Larissa turned a little pink.  She thought, once she had started working with her abilities, that they must be the same for everyone.  Everyone must be able to do and see what she was doing and seeing.
“I just saw what he was doing, using his ability to trace energy to try to find me.”
“Larissa this is huge.  They have never been known to do that before.  To use one of us to search for us.”
“Well they are doing it now.”
Larissa thought about what she had just seen.  If the tracker was indeed searching for the origin of the powers and had the ability to track where they came from, she would have to change her plan.  She would need to think of another way to distract him.
She reached out to see if the blonde was still lit up.  She was, thank goodness.  That meant that what Larissa started in people would continue for awhile.
“Keith, if he is looking for me, looking for the origin of where the energy is coming from, I think we should change the plan a bit.”
“Agreed.  I can see that you already have something in mind…”
“I do.  He knows he’s being toyed with.  He doesn’t seem to be able to trace me.  So why not, well, overwhelm him?  Do what I thought we should not do?”
“You mean light up a lot of people?”
“Yes.  Only, well, maybe we should light up a certain type of people.”
“What do you mean?”
“I noticed, after I lit up the girl, when her boyfriend walked in she lit up even brighter.  What if I were to light up all the people in relationships?”
“That would be confusing.”
“It would be super confusing.  All the women would be lit up and when they were together with their loves they would shine even brighter. It would be like an explosion.”
“What about you?”
“What about me?”
“Would you light up as well?”
“Me?  But, oh!” She hadn’t thought about Keith and her.  But he was right.  She would have to let some of her energies shine through when she was with Keith.  Even when she wasn’t with him.  The absence of her would be noticed if everyone else in a relationship was shining brightly.
“I would have to be as light as everyone else.” Larissa said.  She watched as a grin crossed Keith’s face.
“I’m glad to hear it.”  He leaned forward and kissed her.  She allowed some of the energy she felt to flow across her body and into his.  She allowed the shield to lift around them, just enough that she glowed in the way the other girl had glowed.
“This is going to be fun.” She said and stood.  “Let’s go light some people up!”

Twenty Three
Keith watched as Larissa worked.  They made their way through campus and she lit up every couple that she saw.  They were lucky that it was a small campus and easy to traverse.  Any larger and they may miss more than a few couples.
He noticed something strange as she worked.  He started to see that couples that she had not worked on started to light on their own.  As though a trend was started.  She would connect a few on one area and then, bam, all the others would be connected.  Lit up like Christmas trees, so to speak.  He noticed that other people in the area also started to light up.  People that Larissa would not have targeted seemed to find the energetic footing that others had been connected to.  He wondered how far it would go.
They walked around campus together for a good hour, missing their first classes.  Then they had to part.  The blonde and the tracker would be in Larissa’s next class.  It was a class that Keith was not signed up for.  He wished her well, and made his way into town.  He hadn’t told her, but he had planned to meet with his group that morning.  He was thirty minutes late, but he knew they would understand.  Heck, probably half of them knew that he was going to be late.
He shut down his energy and made his way to the secret entrance.  He searched the area around it to make sure that he was alone and would not be seen.  Then he started the trek underground.  He wondered if Larissa would ever be able to see the meeting place.  When he arrived at the meeting room, he was surprised to see people that he had never seen before.  There were twice as many people there than had ever been there before.  He stood in the doorway, trying to decipher who the new people were.  He wasn’t sure if they were friends or foes and he had an uneasy feeling in his belly.
“Keith, there you are.” Said George.
“George.” Keith stayed in the doorway.
“Keith, I would like you to meet the Southern Contingent of the Planetary Lightworkers Organization.  At least these are the ones that could make the trip on short notice.”
Keith took a deep breath and turned to meet the members one by one.  He was introduced to ten new people, all of them had energies that felt so foreign to him, he wasn’t sure what to make of it.  They didn’t feel negative to him.  In fact, the more he was with them the lighter he felt.  It was almost as though they were from a different planet, they just felt so different.
“Keith, I am Tiana.  I am one of the leaders in the organization.” Keith was startled by the beauty that stood in front of him.  Her skin was the color of warm cocoa, her hair was tightly curled and was loose around her face.  He looked at her mouth as she spoke to him and her lips were full and colored like berries.  His eyes traveled to meet hers and he saw the color of golden honey gleaming at him.
“Hi.” Was all he could manage.  She took his breath away.  He found that not only was she beautiful in features, but the energy coming off of her enveloped him like the most warm, comforting hug he had ever felt.
She smiled at him and looked over his shoulder to George.  Keith could hear George clear his throat and call everyone to the circle.  Keith watched, dumbstruck, as Tiana moved past him to take her place.  He followed, still unsure of what to think of the people who were in his space.
“Thank you all for coming, especially those of you who are visiting us from so far.” George said. “As you know, I have asked you to come because we seem to have a situation.  There is a girl, Larissa, who has found her gifts.  She seems to have attracted some unwanted attention and a tracker has been sent to capture her.”
George waited, letting the chatter calm down.
“We have to figure out what to do next.  Keith has been working with her. Keith, what do you have to report?”
“Well, um,” Keith cleared his throat and put his thoughts back onto Larissa. “She’s doing better than I thought she would.  She is able to shield herself from the tracker completely.  He cannot seem to see her energetically at all.  And she hatched a plan to distract him for awhile.”
“What is she doing?” Someone asked.
“Basically she is connecting all of the lovers on the campus to Earth energy at a level they have never been connected before.  She is clearing all of the blockages that have caused them to be separated.  Lighting up everyone on campus who is in a relationship.  This is causing a bit of an uplifting effect on everyone on campus because even those who are not in a relationship are starting to lift as well.”
“Really?” Tiana said, “She’s able to do all of that and keep herself hidden?”
“Right now, yes.”
“And who taught her to do what she is doing?”
“No one.  She has figured it out on her own.  We’ve discussed some of the concepts and such, but no one taught her…”
“Remarkable.  I do want to meet her.”
“Well, there is the problem of the bubble.”
“The bubble?”
“Yes.  When the tracker arrived an energetic bubble was placed over campus to track the coming and going of everyone.  We presume if she left campus the bubble would inform the tracker in some manner.”
“What about when others leave?”
“No one has the power she has.  I think we would all know if she was suddenly not there anymore.”
“So interesting.” Tiana looked off into the distance, a look Keith knew well.  She was talking to her guides. “She is very connected.  She has been discussing things with other parts of herself.  She knows things we have only just discovered.”
“What?” One of the new men asked.
“We will have to ask her.  They will not tell me what she has been told.  However, she has a specific mission and she is determined to see it through. Keith, you must take me to her.”
“But, wouldn’t they notice you?”
“Of course.  They have already noticed me.  They have already seen that we are all here.  They know why we have come, it’s the same reason they are all here.  They want the girl.  We want the girl. Everyone wants the girl.  Even you.” Tiana smiled at Keith warmly.  She knew how he felt about her.
“I don’t know that it would be good to just march onto campus and meet her.” Keith said.
“Oh, I won’t be marching.  Driving is more my speed.  And I don’t know that they will notice me, really.  I can be much smaller than I am currently.”
Keith watched as the woman pulled her energies into herself.  He watched as the light the surrounded her diminished, the color in her eyes seemed to fade before him.  Even her hair seemed to lose life as he watched her.
“I can separate from my powers, it’s not shielding, it’s more than that.  I am able to go under their radar, I will be able to enter their bubble and they will never know.”
Keith nodded.  He could see how it might work.  He hoped for Larissa’s sake that it all worked they way they hoped.  He wanted her safe.  Though he liked the woman, Tiana, who sat before him, he wasn’t sure about the others.  He looked around the room at the other members and wondered.  Where were they all from?  Could he trust them?  Some seemed so foreign in their energies.
After the meeting ended, when they had their plan in place, Keith stood to one side of the room and watched.  Tiana came up beside him.
“You are right to be wary, Keith.  They are not all from here.”
Keith glanced at her, questions about to fall from his lips.
“Shhh.  Do not say anything.  They are not from Earth.  You are correct.  But they are with us, not against us.  At least these are.  They will help us when and where they can.  Otherwise they are here to report. That is all I can tell you for right now.”
Keith nodded at her, “Ok.” Was all he could say.
“Now I think it’s time you took me to meet you love, Larissa.” Tiana smiled at him again.
